# Jupiter Spend FAQ

> Frequently asked questions about Jupiter Spend: Global ID, deposits and withdrawals, cards, QR Pay, bank transfers, cashback, and referrals.

## General & Global ID

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is Jupiter Spend?">
    Jupiter Spend is a set of regulated financial services integrated into the Jupiter app. It turns your crypto into a USD balance and gives you access to traditional payment infrastructure (card payments, QR Pay, and bank transfers) directly from the app.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who can use Jupiter Spend?">
    Jupiter Spend is available in selected countries. Availability depends on your country of residence and applicable regulations, and the Jupiter Card follows the same list, on the [Jupiter Card](/user-docs/global/spend/jupiter-card#supported-countries) page. You must be at least 18 years old.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is Global ID?">
    Global ID (previously called Jupiter ID) is the account you use to sign in to the Jupiter app, with an email, Google, or Apple login. It includes an identity verification layer required to use Jupiter Spend: verify once, then access the Card, QR Pay, and Remittance without repeating the process. You can only be logged in to one Global ID at a time. Discord and X logins are currently not supported.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I sign up, and how long does verification take?">
    Open the **Spend** tab of the Jupiter app (card icon, bottom right) and sign in with your Global ID, using an email, Google, or Apple account. Then complete identity verification from the Verification Center. Verification has five steps: provide an identity document, verify your phone number, perform a liveness check, provide personal information, and complete a short questionnaire. In APAC regions, a proof of address is also required.

    Verification typically takes a few minutes. If your application is flagged for manual review, it can take longer, typically 3 to 5 working days.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why do I need to verify my identity?">
    Identity verification is required by law to help prevent fraud, money laundering, and misuse of financial services. It is a standard requirement for any regulated financial product, and is required to access any Jupiter Spend feature.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What documents are accepted as proof of address?">
    Proof of address is required for users in APAC regions. Accepted documents include:

    * Utility bills (electricity, water, heating, gas, sewerage, waste disposal, house/elevator maintenance)
    * Telecom bills (phone, internet, TV)
    * Bank statements
    * Tax invoices

    This list is not exhaustive. If your document is rejected, you can resubmit a different accepted document.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is my Global ID linked to my Jupiter Mobile wallets?">
    No. Global ID is not linked to your DeFi wallets. It is used only for identity verification and Jupiter Spend services. Jupiter does not take custody of your DeFi wallet funds, and Spend mode activity is kept separate from your onchain DeFi activity.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I delete my Global ID, or change its email?">
    Neither is currently possible. Once identity verification is complete, the Global ID cannot be deleted, and the email associated with it cannot be changed. If you have lost access to your registered email, contact support.

    Jupiter does not store or process identity documents directly. All verification data is handled by SumSub.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if I lose access to my account?">
    Use the "Forgot Password" or "Need help signing in" option on login to start recovery. If you have also lost access to your registered email or phone, contact support.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is Jupiter Spend safe?">
    Your funds are handled through regulated financial partners, and balances are held and settled according to regulatory requirements. Jupiter does not take custody of your DeFi wallet funds. The Jupiter Card operates on the Visa network, which includes chargeback protections: if a transaction is fraudulent or a merchant fails to deliver, you can dispute the charge through your card issuer (Rain or DCS). You can also freeze your card instantly in the app if anything looks suspicious.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Jupiter Spend charge monthly or annual fees?">
    No monthly or annual maintenance fees. Any applicable transaction fees (such as FX conversion on non-USD card payments) are shown before confirmation. See [Fees & Limits](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits) for the full breakdown.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I change the display currency of my Spend balance?">
    Yes. The Spend balance can be displayed in USD (default) or another currency such as EUR, GBP, AUD, BRL, CAD, CNY, or HKD, using the currency selector next to the balance. This only changes how the balance is displayed. The balance itself is held in USD.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I contact support?">
    In-app support is available. For a card issue, have the original transaction details ready; for a deposit or transfer issue, the transaction hash or transfer reference.
  </Accordion>

## Deposits & Withdrawals

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I deposit funds into Jupiter Spend?">
    If your funds are in your Jupiter Mobile wallet, use **Send** → **Send to Spend**. It accepts any token and converts it for you, so there is no deposit address to copy and no wrong token to send.

    For funds held elsewhere, open the Spend tab, tap **Deposit**, and select your method on the Add Money screen. Send USDC or USDT only.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which crypto assets and networks can I deposit?">
    Your Spend deposit address takes USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Sui, Arbitrum, and Base, and USDT on Solana. Always select the correct network before sending: depositing on an unsupported network may result in permanent loss of funds.

    Any other token can only come in through **Send to Spend** from a Jupiter Mobile wallet, see the next question.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I fund my Spend balance with a token other than USDC or USDT?">
    Yes, but only from a Jupiter Mobile wallet, through **Send** → **Send to Spend**. Choose any token you hold: it is swapped into USDC through Jupiter Ultra and delivered to your Spend deposit address in one transaction, and your balance is credited in USD. The swap carries the [Jupiter Mobile swap fee](/user-docs/global/mobile/fees#swaps-native-app) for the pair plus a small SOL network fee, and the summary screen shows the estimated amount, the minimum you will receive, and the price impact before you confirm. See [Send to Spend](/user-docs/global/mobile/funding-and-sending#send-to-spend) for the details.

    The Spend deposit address itself still takes USDC and USDT only.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I sent another token to my Spend deposit address. Can I get it back?">
    No. Anything other than USDC or USDT sent to that address is lost. The transfer cannot be reversed, and no one can recover it, support included. This holds for transfers made before any token became available through Send to Spend.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How long do deposits take, and what if mine has not arrived?">
    Most deposits arrive within 4 minutes after the required onchain confirmations. Confirmation requirements vary by network, and deposits can take longer during congestion.

    If your deposit has not appeared, check the transaction status on the relevant blockchain explorer using your transaction hash. If it is confirmed onchain but still missing from your balance after 30 minutes, contact support and include your transaction hash and deposit address.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are there deposit fees or a minimum deposit?">
    Yes. The minimum deposit is \$3 on Solana, Base, Arbitrum, and Sui, and \$10 on Ethereum. Direct deposits on Solana have no processing fee. On Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Sui, the processing fee is the higher of \$0.30 or 0.02% of the amount, and the network's gas fee is paid separately in its native coin. Because the \$0.30 floor is flat, it can look large on a small deposit. The deposit screen shows the minimum and the fee for the network you pick, and a single transfer can be worth up to 200,000 USDC.

    On Solana, there is no flat network cost. However, if the receiving address has no USDC token account yet, a one-time account creation cost (around 0.002 SOL, set by the network) is added. With Gasless Send, this cost is deducted in USDC from the amount sent.

    The exception is a deposit made through **Send to Spend** in Jupiter Mobile with a token other than USDC or USDT: the swap into USDC carries the [Jupiter Mobile swap fee](/user-docs/global/mobile/fees#swaps-native-app) plus a small SOL network fee.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I deposit fiat directly?">
    Yes, by bank transfer. Incoming transfers received on your Jupiter Spend virtual accounts (USD, EUR) credit your Spend balance directly. See [Bank Transfer](#bank-transfer) below.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I withdraw my Spend balance?">
    Withdrawing from your card balance to a bank account (off-ramp) is region-dependent due to regulatory requirements, and global support is being rolled out progressively. Check the app for the options available in your region, and see [Withdrawals](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits#withdrawals) for the regions with restricted support.

    Two limits apply to what can leave Spend:

    * Only funds deposited as USDC can be withdrawn to fiat. USDT deposits cannot, a limitation of the off-ramp partner. Deposits made through Send to Spend arrive as USDC.
    * With a Rain-issued card, a refund is added to your spend balance so you can keep using it, but it cannot be withdrawn. This is due to how Visa settles refunds with Rain.
  </Accordion>

## Cards

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What are the card fees?">
    There is no annual fee to hold the card. The standard fees are the processing fee on crypto deposits, set per network and shown before you send, and the FX conversion fee on non-USD payments: 1% with Rain, 1.8% with DCS. See [Fees & Limits](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits) for the full breakdown.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What are the spending limits?">
    Spending limits depend on your card issuer:

    * **Rain**: no spending limits.
    * **DCS**: daily limit of \$50,000 and annual limit of \$990,000.

    Your card issuer is determined by your country of residence. See [Fees & Limits](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits) for the full breakdown.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I add my card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?">
    **Apple Pay**

    1. Open Apple Wallet and tap the **+** icon in the top-right corner.
    2. Select **Debit or Credit Card** and tap **Continue**.
    3. Enter your card details (found under "Show Details" in the Jupiter app).
    4. Complete verification in Apple Wallet.

    **Google Pay**

    1. Open Google Wallet and tap **+ Add to Wallet**.
    2. Select **Payment method** and enter your card details manually.
    3. Accept the issuer's terms and choose a verification method (SMS or email).
    4. Enter the OTP to verify your card.

    No Jupiter fees apply to adding or using the card this way; the standard FX fee, set by the issuer, still applies on non-USD payments. In some countries where the Jupiter Card is supported, the card cannot be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay because the service does not operate there. This is a restriction from Apple or Google, not from Jupiter.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I use the Jupiter Card while travelling?">
    Yes. The Jupiter Card works anywhere Visa is accepted, regardless of where you are. Your card issuer (Rain or DCS) is determined by your country of residence at the time of KYC, not by where you use the card. If you pay in a non-USD currency while abroad, the standard FX conversion fee applies (1% Rain, 1.8% DCS).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why was my card payment declined?">
    The most common reasons:

    * **Insufficient balance.** The card draws from your Spend balance in USD; check that it covers the payment, including the FX fee on a non-USD payment.
    * **Card frozen.** A frozen card blocks every transaction until you unfreeze it in the app.
    * **Spending limit reached.** With a DCS-issued card, the daily limit is \$50,000 and the annual limit \$990,000.
    * **Restricted merchant.** Payments to certain merchant categories are declined automatically for compliance and risk reasons, and some merchants are restricted dynamically by fraud monitoring. See [Restricted Merchant Categories](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits#restricted-merchant-categories-mcc).

    If none of these apply, contact support with the transaction details.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do refunds work?">
    Refunds can take up to 7 business days to settle back into your card balance. If the original transaction is still pending, the charge is reversed directly. If it has already settled, the refund appears as a separate credit marked "Reversed" under the original transaction.

    If the original payment involved an FX conversion and has already been authorised or settled, the refund is processed at the FX rate of the day the refund is issued, not the original rate, and the FX fee on the original payment is not refunded. A pending transaction is reversed in full at no cost.

    A frozen card does not block incoming refunds: the refund is still credited to your card account. If you have not received a refund after 7 business days, contact support with the original transaction details.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I get a refund on a card I ordered?">
    No. Once a virtual or physical card is ordered, the order cannot be refunded. Refunds from merchants on your card payments are a separate matter, covered in [How do refunds work?](#how-do-refunds-work).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How long does an authorisation hold take to drop?">
    When a transaction is authorised but not captured by the merchant, the funds are held as a pending authorisation on your card balance. The hold can take up to 30 days to drop, depending on the merchant. This timing is set by the merchant and is not controlled by Jupiter. Once the authorisation drops, the funds are released back to your balance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if my card is lost or stolen, or I see suspicious activity?">
    Freeze your card immediately from the Jupiter app to block any further transactions. You can unfreeze it from the app once the issue is resolved. If the card is lost, stolen, or damaged, choose **Replace card** in the card's settings: the current card is frozen and a new one is ordered. A replacement virtual card is free; a physical one costs the same as the original. See [Lost or Stolen Card](/user-docs/global/spend/jupiter-card#lost-or-stolen-card).

    The Jupiter Card operates on the Visa network and benefits from standard consumer protections, including chargeback and dispute mechanisms.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the Claynosaurz card, and can I get it if I already have a Jupiter Card?">
    The Claynosaurz card is a co-branded Jupiter × Claynosaurz Visa Platinum card, available as a virtual card (Gold or Platinum design) for \$25. It earns the standard 2% cashback up to \$100 a month, with the cap shared across all your cards, and until the end of 2026 the FX fees on payments made with it are paid back in full on the first \$10,000 of non-USD spend each month, up to \$100 a month. The rebate is credited in one batch at the end of each month, and a payment shows in the **Claynosaurz 0% FX** tracker once the transaction is confirmed.

    Existing users can get it too: in the Spend tab, tap **Card** → **Add card** → **Virtual card** and pick the Claynosaurz design. It is available in the supported countries except the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, and South Korea. See [Claynosaurz Card](/user-docs/global/spend/jupiter-card#claynosaurz-card).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a physical card?">
    Yes. Physical cards are rolling out in phases, so the option may not be available in your account yet. Full rollout is planned by the end of 2026. See [Physical Card](/user-docs/global/spend/jupiter-card#physical-card) for the card price and shipping.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I withdraw cash at an ATM, and does the card have a PIN?">
    Yes, both the virtual and the physical card have a PIN, which you can view and change in the app. ATM withdrawals may work with the physical card but are not guaranteed: acceptance depends on the ATM operator and your region, and some machines may decline. Any ATM fees are set by the operator rather than by Jupiter, so we cannot tell you the amount in advance. ATM withdrawals do not earn [cashback](/user-docs/global/spend/rewards-and-referrals).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I export my card transactions?">
    Yes. From the app, select the date range you want and request the export; the file is sent to you by email. This is a transaction history export rather than a formal bank-style statement.
  </Accordion>

## QR Pay

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is QR Pay?">
    Jupiter QR Pay is a scan-to-pay solution available in the Asia-Pacific region. It supports merchant payments directly from your Spend account. Open the app, tap the scan icon, and scan the merchant QR code to pay.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where can I use QR Pay?">
    QR Pay depends on your card. In some countries, cards activated after a certain date do not support QR Pay yet. See [Which Cards Support QR Pay](/user-docs/global/spend/qr-pay#which-cards-support-qr-pay) for the full table.

    QR Pay is currently available on DCS-issued cards only. If your card supports QR Pay, you can pay at supported merchants in Cambodia (KHQR), Indonesia (QRIS), Malaysia (DuitNow), Mongolia (QPay), the Philippines (QR Ph), and Vietnam (VietQR). Singapore (SG QR) and Thailand (PromptPay) are temporarily unavailable.

    Look for QR payment logos at the merchant when scanning. P2P (person-to-person) QR payments are available only in certain regions.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What currency is used, and are there fees?">
    Payments are settled in the merchant's local currency. Your USD balance is converted at the market rate, with no markup and no hidden fees. There are no fees for either the payer or the recipient, including FX conversion.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a limit on QR Pay transactions?">
    Yes. The daily limit is \$5,000 and the per-transaction limit is \$500.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does QR Pay earn cashback?">
    No. QR Pay transactions are not eligible for cashback. Only Jupiter Card purchases earn cashback. See [Rewards](#rewards) below.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why did my QR payment fail?">
    The most common reasons are insufficient balance, an unsupported merchant QR format, or a connectivity issue. Check your balance, make sure you are connected to the internet, and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.
  </Accordion>

## Bank Transfer

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is Bank Transfer?">
    Bank Transfer (Global Fiat Remittance) lets you send and receive fiat through virtual accounts, SWIFT transfers, and local payouts. Transfers are powered by our partner Noah, providing fast, low-cost global payouts in 15 local currencies.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which countries can I send to?">
    You can send to bank accounts in over 200 countries via SWIFT. Local payouts are also available in 15 supported currencies. The full list is visible in the app when selecting a destination.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What currencies can I send?">
    Local payouts are available in: AED, BRL, CAD, EUR, GBP, IDR, INR, MYR, NGN, PHP, SGD, THB, TRY, USD, VND. Support for JPY, MAD, MXN, SAR, and TWD is planned. For other destinations, transfers are sent via SWIFT in USD or EUR. Conversion is done at the market rate.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How long does a bank transfer take?">
    Transfer timing depends on the destination country and the receiving bank. Most transfers arrive within 1-3 business days.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are there fees for bank transfers?">
    Yes. Both deposits and payouts carry a fixed fee plus a variable fee, which vary by rail and destination currency. Currency conversions are done at the market rate. See [Fees & Limits](/user-docs/global/spend/fees-and-limits#remittance) for the current tables.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What information do I need to send a bank transfer?">
    You need the recipient's full name, bank name, account number, and routing details required by the country (for example SWIFT/BIC or US routing number). The app prompts the exact fields needed for each country.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the minimum transfer amount?">
    The minimum transfer is \$1 USD equivalent, and each transfer is capped at \$10,000. High-value transfers may require additional verification.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I receive bank transfers into my Jupiter Spend account?">
    Yes. Once your Global ID is verified, you receive virtual accounts in USD and EUR that can receive incoming transfers. EUR account availability may depend on your country of residence.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why did my transfer fail or get delayed?">
    Transfers can fail due to incorrect recipient details, bank compliance holds, or network issues on the receiving end. If your transfer is delayed beyond the estimated window, contact support with your transfer reference number. Failed transfers are automatically refunded to your balance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is my transfer screened for AML compliance?">
    Yes. All outbound transfers are screened by our regulated partner as part of standard AML/CTF procedures. Transfers flagged for review may be delayed pending additional verification, and supporting documentation may be requested for large or unusual transfers.
  </Accordion>

## Rewards

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is cashback, and when is it credited?">
    Every qualifying Jupiter Card purchase earns cashback automatically, with no activation needed. It is credited to your Rewards balance after the transaction fully settles, not at the point of payment. While a transaction is pending, a "Processing" entry appears in the Rewards tab; once settlement is confirmed, it updates to earned and is added to the available balance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How much cashback do I earn, and is there a cap?">
    All qualifying Jupiter Card purchases earn a base cashback rate of 2%, up to a monthly cap of \$100. If you unlock the 4% rate through referrals, the cap rises to \$200 for that month. Your current rate and monthly progress are visible on the Rewards screen.

    If you earned less than expected in a month, you have most likely hit the cap: check the Rewards screen for your cap and how much you have earned so far.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I unlock the 4% cashback rate?">
    Refer at least 2 qualifying people during a calendar month. A qualifying referral is a friend who completes KYC and spends at least \$50 on their Jupiter Card. If you reach 2 in a given month, your cashback rate rises to 4% (with a \$200 cap) for the following month. Referring only 1 person does not unlock the higher rate.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which transactions earn cashback?">
    Only Jupiter Card purchases at accepted merchants (online and in-store) earn cashback. The following are **not** eligible: ATM withdrawals, P2P transfers, refunded or reversed transactions, fees and charges, QR payments, financial services, money transfers, gambling-related transactions, and government payments.

    For the full list, see [Ineligible Transactions for Cashback & Rewards](/user-docs/global/spend/rewards-and-referrals#ineligible-transactions-for-cashback-%26-rewards).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where can I see my cashback?">
    In the Rewards tab. You will find your total cashback earned, a transaction-by-transaction history, your current rate, and your monthly progress toward the cap. Each transaction in your spending history also shows the exact cashback earned for that purchase.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I withdraw my cashback, and what currency is it held in?">
    Your Rewards balance is held in USDC. You can transfer any amount from it to your card balance at any time; the transfer is instant with no fees. Direct withdrawal from the Rewards balance to an external wallet is not available. Once in your card balance, funds can leave Spend through the withdrawal options available in your region.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does the referral program work, and where is my link?">
    Invite friends to Jupiter Spend using your unique referral link. When they sign up, complete KYC, and start spending, both of you earn rewards. To find your link, open the Rewards screen and tap **Refer**: you can copy it or share it directly via WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or any other app.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What do I and my friend earn, and by when?">
    * **You** earn \$10 once your friend has signed up through your link, completed KYC, and spent at least \$50 on their Jupiter Card within 30 days of KYC approval.
    * **Your friend** earns \$20 once they have spent \$1,000 on their Jupiter Card within 30 days of card activation.

    The two windows start from different dates. If your friend completes KYC but does not spend \$50 within 30 days, the referral expires and no reward is paid for it; your friend can still use Jupiter Spend normally.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What counts as qualifying spend?">
    Qualifying spend includes Jupiter Card purchases at accepted merchants. Refunds, reversals, fees, P2P transfers, ATM withdrawals, and QR payments do not count toward the spending milestones.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="When do I receive my referral reward?">
    Rewards are credited to your Rewards balance once the qualifying milestone is reached. Reward amounts are denominated in USD and held in USDC on the Rewards balance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I refer myself, and is there a limit on referrals?">
    Self-referrals and duplicate account creation are detected and blocked automatically; accounts flagged for this will have their rewards forfeited and may be suspended. There is no cap on the number of qualifying referrals or on the rewards you can earn through the program.
  </Accordion>
