This page covers trading on YOLO, the Jupiter Labs product for 500x–1,000x leverage on SOL, BTC and ETH. For how YOLO works as a whole, see the YOLO overview.

How do I open a YOLO trade?

  1. Go to jup.ag/yolo and connect your wallet.
  2. Before your first trade, read the YOLO terms and risks, then click Accept and Continue. You can choose not to see them again for 30 days, and reread them at any time from Terms & risks.
  3. Choose a market: SOL, BTC or ETH.
  4. Under You’re paying, choose a token and enter an amount, or use Half or Max.
  5. Set the leverage with the slider or the − and + buttons: 500x to 1,000x, in steps of 100x. A new trade form starts at 1,000x, the highest leverage and the closest bust price: lower it if you want more room before liquidation.
  6. Check the details the form shows: position size, estimated entry, long bust price, short bust price and move to bust.
  7. Click Long or Short, then approve the transaction in your wallet.
You can hold several YOLO positions at once, on the same market or on different ones. YOLO does not limit the number of positions: only the size limits apply.

Which tokens can I pay with on YOLO?

YOLO positions use JupUSD as collateral. If you pay with JupUSD, it is used as is. If you pay with any other token in the list, it is swapped to JupUSD in the same transaction, with a 0.5% slippage tolerance:
  • The minimum collateral and the position size apply to the JupUSD the swap delivers, not to the amount of the token you pay.
  • If the swap would deliver less than its quote minus the 0.5% tolerance, the trade fails.
  • If no swap route exists for your amount, the app shows No swap route to JupUSD for this amount. Choose another token or amount.
Keep some SOL in your wallet for network fees and account rent. Collateral returned at close and profits are always paid in JupUSD.

How is my YOLO position size calculated?

Your position size is your collateral times the leverage. For example, 5 JupUSD at 500x opens a $2,500 position, and 10 JupUSD at 1,000x opens a $10,000 position. Profits, losses and size limits are all based on the position size.

What is the bust price on YOLO?

The bust price is the price at which a YOLO position is liquidated. It sits exactly one leverage-th away from your entry price: The form shows the long bust price, the short bust price and the move to bust before you open. Before the bust price, your loss is linear: the position size times the price move against you, with no trading fee. When the price reaches the bust price, the position is liquidated automatically and you lose all its collateral; History shows it as Liquidated. You never lose more than the collateral of the position: a YOLO liquidation leaves no debt and charges no liquidation fee.

What price does my YOLO trade fill at?

The chart and the estimated entry use Pyth prices, which are indicative. A YOLO trade fills at the onchain DOVES oracle price when it executes, and every open or close waits for an oracle update made after you sign it. A YOLO order has no price limit: your entry price, PnL and bust price are final only once the trade executes, and they can differ from what you saw.

Why can a YOLO trade be delayed or fail?

  • Right after opening, a position cannot be closed until the next oracle update. The app shows Position just opened. Wait for the next oracle update to close.
  • Every open and close is co-signed by Jupiter’s trade service. When it is down, the app shows Trade service is temporarily unavailable.
  • A signed trade must execute within a few seconds. If network congestion or oracle delays hold it back, it expires and the app shows Trade expired without confirming. You can submit a new trade.
  • When the price feed lags, the app shows Price feed delayed and asks you to wait for a fresh price.
  • Trading can be paused. The app then shows Trading is paused. Opens and closes are temporarily unavailable. Open positions can still be liquidated during a pause: see YOLO risks.
  • Some wallets cannot sign the transactions YOLO uses. The app then shows This wallet cannot sign the transactions required to trade. Choose another wallet.
A failed trade can still cost wallet network fees.

How do I close a YOLO position?

  • Close position, under the chart, closes the position the chart follows. Refocus position brings the chart back to it.
  • Close, on a row of the Positions table, closes that position.
  • Close all closes all your open positions.
When you close, your remaining collateral returns to your wallet immediately, in JupUSD. Your profit follows the rules in YOLO payouts and the House. A YOLO position stays open until you close it or it is liquidated: it has no expiry and no holding fee.

Can I change a YOLO position after opening it?

No. Once a YOLO position is open, its collateral, leverage and size stay fixed:
  • You cannot partially close it: a close always closes the whole position.
  • You cannot add collateral to move the bust price away, or withdraw collateral from it.
To change your exposure, close the position and open a new one.

What are the YOLO position size limits?

Limits apply to the position size, not to your collateral:
  • Minimum: 5 JupUSD of collateral. Below it, the app shows Amount is below the market minimum.
  • Maximum: $1,000,000 per position. Each market also has a separate long capacity and short capacity, which can change before your trade executes. Above them, the app shows Position exceeds the available market capacity. Reduce the amount.
To see the maximum position size per market and side, open Read full rules under House rules. These are launch values: the values shown in the app prevail.

How do I track my YOLO trades?

  • The Positions tab lists your open positions, History your closed positions and payouts, and All trades the confirmed trades of every YOLO trader.
  • The Your PnL panel shows your realized PnL over 24H, 7D or All time, your unrealized PnL, volume, closed trades, win rate and rank.
  • Share, on a position, on your PnL panel or on a leaderboard row, opens a PnL card for a trade or a period, which you can copy, save or share on X.
  • The sound settings turn the trading sounds on or off: your closes, other traders’ closes, new positions, and a whistle that follows your open position’s PnL.

How does the YOLO leaderboard work?

The YOLO leaderboard, also listed under YOLO in the jup.ag navigation, ranks wallets over 24H, 7D or All time in three categories:
  • Top PnL: realized PnL on closed YOLO trades.
  • Most volume: notional volume on YOLO opens and closes.
  • Longest held: the longest time one position stayed open before closing.
Rankings update shortly after a close. Connect your wallet to see your own rank.
