No. Identity verification through Jupiter ID is required to access any Jupiter Global feature, including the Card, QR Pay, and Remittance. This is a regulatory requirement.

Your funds are handled through regulated financial partners, and card balances are held and settled according to regulatory requirements. Jupiter does not take custody of your DeFi wallet funds. Card transactions are protected by industry-standard security, monitoring, and controls. The Jupiter Card operates on the Visa network, which includes chargeback protections — if a transaction is fraudulent or a merchant fails to deliver, you can dispute the charge through your card issuer (Rain or DCS). You can also freeze your card instantly in the app if anything looks suspicious.

Is the Jupiter Card a credit card?
No. The Jupiter Card is a Visa debit card that uses credit-card infrastructure. This means it benefits from higher merchant acceptance, smoother refunds and disputes, and more consistent performance compared to typical prepaid or debit crypto cards. However, Jupiter does not issue credit lines — you can only spend what you have deposited.

There are two Jupiter Card types, Rain and DCS, assigned automatically based on your country of residence. It is not possible to hold cards from both issuers. Both cards work on the Visa network and offer the same features. The differences are limited to fees and spending limits:
- Rain — FX fee: 1%. No spending limits.
- DCS — FX fee: 1.8%. Daily limit: 990,000.

Merchant refunds are processed back to your card balance. The typical processing time is 3 to 4 business days, depending on the merchant and card network.

Yes. The Jupiter Card works anywhere Visa is accepted, regardless of where you are. Your card issuer (Rain or DCS) is determined by your country of residence at the time of KYC, not by where you use the card. If you pay in a non-USD currency while abroad, the standard FX conversion fee applies (1% Rain, 1.8% DCS).

Jupiter QR Pay is a scan-to-pay solution available in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand, Philippines). It supports both merchant payments and peer-to-peer transfers, directly from your Global account. There are no fees for either party, and currency conversion is done at the mid-market rate with no spread. The daily limit is $5,000.

Global Fiat Remittance allows you to send and receive fiat through virtual accounts (USD, GBP, EUR), SWIFT transfers to over 200 countries, and local payouts in 20 currencies. Once your Jupiter ID is verified, you receive virtual accounts that can be funded via incoming fiat transfers. There are currently no fees on transfers, and currency conversions are done at the mid-market rate with no spread. The per-transfer limit is $10,000.

Does Jupiter have access to my DeFi wallet when I use Global mode?
Does Jupiter have access to my DeFi wallet when I use Global mode?
No. Jupiter ID is not linked to your DeFi wallets. It is used only for identity verification and Jupiter Global services. Jupiter does not take custody of your DeFi wallet funds, and Global mode activity is kept separate from your onchain DeFi activity.

No. Once identity verification is complete, the Jupiter ID cannot be deleted. Jupiter does not store or process identity documents directly — all verification data is handled by SumSub.

Proof of address is required for users in APAC regions. Accepted documents include:
- Utility bills (electricity, water, heating, gas, sewerage, waste disposal, house/elevator maintenance)
- Telecom bills (phone, internet, TV)
