Every token you have ever held on Solana lives in a token account, and each account holds a small amount of SOL as rent to stay open. When you sell or send all of a token, its account usually stays open with that SOL inside. Reclaim SOL closes those empty accounts and returns their rent to your wallet, and can also recover excess SOL from accounts that stay open.

Where to find it

On the Positions tab, the Holdings section header carries a Reclaim button with a badge showing how many token accounts are eligible. The button only works for the connected wallet: on a watch-only address it is displayed but cannot be used.

The Reclaim SOL dialog

Clicking Reclaim opens the Reclaim SOL dialog. It reads: “Recover SOL by closing eligible empty token accounts or reclaiming excess SOL from accounts that stay open. Your tokens stay in your wallet.”

Review the eligible accounts

Eligible Tokens lists every account with reclaimable SOL, with the total, for example “36 tokens with reclaimable SOL” and the SOL they add up to. Each row shows the token, its truncated mint address, the SOL that account returns, and the action applied to it, Close for an empty account.

Select the accounts to process

Estimated Reclaim at the bottom of the dialog updates with the SOL and its value for the accounts selected.

Review and sign

Review moves to the confirmation, after which your wallet asks you to sign the transaction. Cancel closes the dialog without doing anything.
Rent amounts are small, typically about 0.002 SOL per account, so the total is only worth a transaction once a wallet has accumulated many empty accounts.
Reclaiming never sells or moves your tokens: only empty accounts are closed, and the balances of tokens you still hold are untouched. A closed account is recreated automatically, with new rent, the next time you receive that token.
