A Magic Link is a shareable link (or QR code) that holds tokens until a recipient claims them. It’s designed for cases where the recipient doesn’t have a Solana wallet yet, or when you want to send tokens without needing their address. Between creation and claim, the tokens stay onchain, in an account of the Magic Link program tied to the link’s claim code. Whoever has the link or the code can claim them.

Open Jupiter Send

Go to jup.ag/send. In the Send tab, select Magic Link (Transfer is selected by default).

Connect your wallet

Connect the wallet you want to send tokens from.

Choose token and amount

Select the token and enter the amount you want to send, in tokens or in USD. A Magic Link must be worth between $1 and $1,000; outside that range, the button shows Minimum $1 gift or Maximum $1000 gift. These limits are set by the app, which prevails.

Create the Magic Link

Check the fee in the Fees row: it is paid in SOL, so you need enough SOL in your wallet even if you’re sending another token (otherwise the button shows Insufficient Gas Fee). Click Create Magic Link and approve the transaction in your wallet. A QR code, a claim code and a claim link are generated. Each QR code is valid for one claim.

Share it

Send the link, the code or the QR code to the recipient through any channel (message, email, etc.), using the share, copy and save buttons.
Anyone who has the link or the claim code can claim the tokens. Do not share it publicly or with unintended recipients.
A Magic Link opens a claim page on jup.ag (jup.ag/gift) showing the token and amount. The recipient can claim it in two ways:
  • With Jupiter Mobile. The page lists the steps: download Jupiter Mobile, then claim the gift in the app. On a computer, copy the claim code shown on the page and paste it in Jupiter Mobile. In a phone browser, tap Claim Gift to open the gift in the app. See Jupiter Mobile for the in-app steps.
  • With an existing wallet, on a computer. Below the steps, connect a Solana wallet and click Claim Gift. The tokens go to the connected wallet.
A claim code can also be redeemed from the Receive tab of jup.ag/send: click Claim Gift, paste the code, and confirm. When a link can no longer be claimed, the claim page says so instead: Gift Cancelled (the creator cancelled it), Gift Already Claimed, or Gift Expired. You can view and manage your Magic Links at jup.ag/send after connecting your wallet.
Shows all unclaimed Magic Links that are still valid (not expired, not cancelled). From here you can cancel a link to recover your tokens.
You can cancel any unclaimed Magic Link to recover your tokens.

Open Jupiter Send

Go to jup.ag/send and connect your wallet.

Find the link

Go to the Active section under the send widget.

Cancel

Click the 🗑️ icon next to the link you want to cancel, and approve the transaction in your wallet.
Once the cancel transaction confirms, the tokens are returned to the wallet that created the link.
You can only cancel a Magic Link that has not been claimed yet. Once claimed, the tokens belong to the recipient.

Expiration

Magic Links that are not claimed expire automatically 7 calendar days after creation. When a link expires, the tokens are returned to the creator’s wallet.
You don’t need to do anything to trigger the refund. Expiration and fund return are handled automatically.
