Settlement turns a closed market into a final result. Most markets settle to YES or NO, but a market can also resolve to a refund or a draw when its rules require it. Your Profile is the source of truth for the status of each position.

How does a market settle?

Some market routes record an on-chain result, while other integrations settle through their own route and reflect the status in Profile.
1

Market closes

Trading stops at the market’s scheduled close time or when the source market stops accepting trades.
2

Result is determined

The market source or integration determines the result according to the market’s rules.
3

Result is recorded or reflected

For some market routes, Jupiter records eligible results on-chain. Other integrations settle through their own route and update the status in Profile.
4

Profile updates

Your position is marked as claimable, refundable, automatically settled, lost, or otherwise final.
5

You act if needed

If Profile shows a claim or refund action, follow the prompt. Some outcomes are processed automatically, and losing positions need no action.

How do I claim my winnings?

  1. Open Profile from the Predict navigation.
  2. In the Positions tab, click Claim on the winning position and sign in your wallet. When you have several claimable positions, Claim All claims them in one action.
A winning contract pays $1 worth of the market’s settlement asset. A claimable payout does not expire if you do not claim right away, but it is best to claim once the action appears. Some routes pay out without a claim: Jupiter Forecast winnings and Arcade payouts are sent to your wallet automatically shortly after the window or round ends. See Degen and Arcade.

What do resolved, claimed and refunded mean?

These are separate states:
  • Resolved: the market result is final and Profile has its settlement status. For some market routes, this includes an on-chain result.
  • Claimed: a winning payout has been credited to your wallet.
  • Refunded: an eligible refund has been credited to your wallet.

What happens to losing positions?

If a market resolves against your position, your contracts expire worthless and the position is marked as lost. You receive no payout, and no action is needed.

Why does my position still show as pending after the market resolved?

A market can be resolved by its source before it appears settled on Jupiter. This is expected while the result is picked up, recorded, and reflected in Profile. Your Profile updates once the final status is available. Timing is not guaranteed. A market can stay unresolved for longer when:
  • The real-world event has not produced a clear outcome.
  • The market source is waiting for an authoritative result.
  • A provider, route, or settlement issue needs investigation.
While a market is closed and waiting for settlement, you cannot close the position. If a market stays unresolved for an unusually long time, raise a ticket via Discord with the details listed in the Predict FAQ.

Who decides a disputed outcome?

Each market follows its own published rules, shown in the rules summary on its page. If a source market has a dispute or a delayed resolution process, Jupiter follows the final result from that source or integration. Jupiter records eligible results and does not independently rewrite market outcomes.

What happens if a market is canceled, voided or refunded?

If a market is canceled, voided, or resolved as refundable, eligible positions can receive a refund once the final settlement status is available. Refunds are processed on-chain and reflected in Profile, which shows the refund status and any available action. If the status does not update after the market has clearly resolved as refundable, contact support via Discord.
