Jupiter Spend is a set of regulated financial services integrated into the Jupiter app. Built on the Solana blockchain, it allows users to convert USDC into fiat currency and access traditional payment infrastructure directly from the app.

USDC is the base deposit asset. On Solana, the Spend deposit address takes USDC or USDT directly. On Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Sui, BSC, and Robinhood, the deposit screen gives a Universal Deposit address that also accepts the other tokens listed in the app and converts them to USDC before they reach your balance. From a Jupiter Mobile wallet, Send → Send to Spend accepts any token and swaps it into USDC. The app shows your Card balance in USD (labelled Card balance in older versions of the app). With a Rain-issued card, USDC and USDT are credited 1:1 and stay on-chain as collateral for the card; with a DCS-issued card, USDT is converted to USD on arrival, so slightly less is credited. See Balance. Incoming bank transfers received on your Remittance virtual accounts are converted to USD and credit the same balance. Identity Verification (Global ID)

Global ID (previously called Jupiter ID) is the account used to sign in to the Jupiter app, with an email, Google, or Apple login. It includes an identity verification layer required to access any Jupiter Spend feature: verify once, then access all three products without repeating the process. You can only be logged in to one Global ID at a time. Identity verification is required by law to help prevent fraud, money laundering, and misuse of financial services. The process is handled by SumSub.

Verification Steps

Verification is completed from the Verification Center in the app and has five steps:
  1. Provide an identity document
  2. Verify your phone number
  3. Perform a liveness check
  4. Provide personal information
  5. Complete a short questionnaire
In APAC countries, a proof of address is also required. Accepted proof of address documents include: utility bills, telecom bills, bank statements, and tax invoices.

Approval Time

Verification typically takes a few minutes. If an application is flagged for manual review, it can take longer, typically 3 to 5 working days.

Data Handling & Privacy

  • Verification handled externally. Jupiter does not store or process identity documents. All verification is handled by SumSub.
  • Separated from DeFi. Global ID is not linked to DeFi wallets. It is used only for Jupiter Spend services and does not grant access to wallet funds.
  • Activity separation. Onchain activity in DeFi mode is not associated with Global ID.
Global ID cannot be deleted once created. Once verification is complete, the Global ID cannot be removed.

How to Get Started

Set up Global ID

Open the Spend tab of the Jupiter app (card icon, bottom right) and sign in with your Global ID, using an email, Google, or Apple account.

Verify your identity

Complete verification from the Verification Center: identity document, phone verification, liveness check, personal information, and a short questionnaire (plus proof of address in APAC regions). Verification typically takes a few minutes.

Fund your account

If your funds are in your Jupiter Mobile wallet, use Send → Send to Spend: it tops up your balance with any token you hold, swapping anything that is not USDC or USDT into USDC on the way, with no address to copy and no wrong token to send. For funds held elsewhere, tap Deposit to open the Add Money screen and send USDC or USDT to your deposit address. The deposit screen shows the minimum and any processing fee for the network you use; see Fees & Limits.

Start using Jupiter Spend

Access the Jupiter Card, QR Pay, or Remittance from the app. The Spend home also shows what you spent this month, which opens Spending Analytics (spending by category, top merchants, and subscriptions). The ⋯ menu holds Global ID, Support, Fees, Background, and Sign Out.

Travel Rule declaration

With a DCS-issued card, the app asks for a Travel Rule declaration before you add funds, whether from the Spend deposit address or with Send to Spend: your full legal name, date and place of birth, ID type and number, and address. Regulators require this information for crypto transfers. You may only send from your own address (a first-party transfer). You fill it in once and can update it later.

Key Characteristics

  • Two funding routes. The deposit screen takes USDC or USDT on Solana, or supported tokens from six other networks through Universal Deposit (converted to USDC), credited after any processing fee; from Jupiter Mobile, Send → Send to Spend moves any token straight from your wallet, swapping anything that is not USDC or USDT into USDC. Incoming fiat transfers received on the Remittance virtual accounts credit the same balance.
  • Regulated infrastructure. Card issuance, payments, and transfers are handled by licensed financial partners.
  • Identity required. Global ID and KYC verification are required before accessing any feature.
  • No custody of wallet funds. Jupiter does not take custody of the user’s DeFi wallet funds. Card balances are managed by the regulated financial partners.
  • Cashback on card purchases. Jupiter Card purchases earn automatic cashback at a base rate of 2%. The rate can be raised to 4% through the referral program. QR Pay transactions are not eligible for cashback. See Rewards & Referrals and the current Campaigns.
Only send USDC or USDT to your Spend deposit address. Sending any other asset, including SOL, does not credit your Card balance, and the transfer can be neither reversed nor recovered, by support or by anyone else. This is also true of transfers made in the past.From your Jupiter Mobile wallet, prefer Send → Send to Spend: it takes any token, converts it for you, and removes the risk of sending the wrong one.
